Art as Therapy

IMG_1022Art Therapy combines the creative process and therapy, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. Using imagery, colour, writing and shape as part of this creative therapeutic process, thoughts and feelings can be expressed that would otherwise be difficult to articulate. You do not have to be ‘artistic’ or be able to draw to benefit from this form of expressive therapy and is effective for people of any age.

If you or a family member feel you might be interested in exploring art as therapy, I can discuss the process with you in more detail. These sessions ideally run 1.5 hours – 1 hour to work (you may bring your own music to these sessions) and a half hour to discuss your thoughts and insights about the process.
